One of the things that strikes me the most about past life work is that it is not so much a problem, issue or person that is at the forefront of our past life concerns but an energy. Sometimes this energy runs like a continuum while we are both in form and out of form, until it finally makes its way to the forefront of our experience. It is only when we identify it in our current experience as a form of resistance or blockage that we usually want to explore this energy further. Pull it apart examine it and see where it come from and most importantly how do we clear it.This in my opinion is the only time we should be delving into past life experience, as it is in the here and now. We are not trying to clear something that is dormant or hidden but something that has true archetypal representation in our now time. It is through this identification process that you will take this energy into the meditation and back to the place of its origin.
